Shoe Box Art exhibit

Friday, June 17th during the Uptown FRESH Sneakerball, we will exhibit art from dozens of local artists participating in a sneaker-themed art show called “DOPE!.” Each artist created a piece of art using shoe boxes as their nontraditional canvas, but we will also show art on other mediums as long as it’s DOPE!!!

THE EXHIBIT GUIDELINES

The submission deadline for all artwork is June 11th. All pieces MUST be wired to hang. If we have to wire it, there’s a $10 fee! Pieces CANNOT be larger than 4’ x 4’ and should not weigh more than 30 lbs. The GOAL is to sell your art that night and sized to transport home with the buyer!!

SHOE BOX

If you elect to use a shoe box, especially one bought from us… it will be prewired to hang and gets you (the artist) 1-ticket to the sneakerball, upon acceptance to exhibit that is. Once again, the art needs to be DOPE in the eyes of the exhibit curator! These shoe boxes are $20 and you can CashApp your payment here or if you prefer PayPal, you can pay here instead!! If neither of those are workable options, please email us here so we can find a resolution.

OTHER

If you elect to use your own shoe box or some other canvas type for submission, it will still need to be wired to hang. Additionally, you’ll need to buy a ticket to attend the sneakerball…

SELLING ART DURING THE SNEAKERBALL

IF YOU ARE SELLING ART AS A VENDOR… THIS DOES NOT APPLY! However, ALL artists submitting their artwork to be displayed as a part of the “DOPE” art exhibit will be subject to a 70/30 split in their favor, if the art sells during the ball.
